LWC, Free sheet, C2S, Ground wood . . . these are common terms used in the graphical paper industry but do we know the difference?
Coated papers are categorised by the type of pulp used in production (ground wood or chemical) and level of coating.
Wood-free Coated Paper (WFC), also known as C1S/C2S, Art Paper or freesheet, is produced predominantly using chemical pulp.
This means the paper is of a higher brightness and of a higher quality than LWC paper.
Due to the higher quality WFC is slightly more expensive.
However it remains an economical choice for printers of magazines, catalogues and advertising material.
Raw Materials has a suppliers in Europe for prime and stock lot paper. We also have WFC suppliers in Turkey, suppliers in the USA and of course WFC suppliers in India.
Orders of WFC can be sent directly to your closest port and we can take care of the major logistics. Please contact us today to discuss your requirements.
